Hey Iceland
Hey Iceland is an award-winning travel agency with over 30 years of knowledge and expertise in travel in the Icelandic countryside. We offer a wide range of unforgettable tours whether it is for groups, friends, family or special interests tours. The travel agency was founded by farmers in 1980, the Icelandic Farm Holidays Association, and is still majority-owned by farmers, meaning that profits stay local.
We have been organizing agricultural tours in Iceland for over 20 years. Tailor-making itineraries with a good mixture of nature sites and agricultural visits suited to each group.
For our agriculture tours we work with:
- The Farmer´s Association of Iceland
- Hey Iceland´s owners/farmers all around Iceland.
- Agriculture Universities
- Opinn landbúnaður, “open agriculture” - farms welcoming guests
- Beint frá býli, “straight from farm” - farms selling their products.
Our outgoing department Bændaferðir also organizes regularly agricultural tours with Icelandic farmers for educational tours and agriculture trade shows.
We are active in participating in the development of Iceland’s tourism industry and always seeking ways to improve the impact we have on our surroundings, but sustainability, quality, ethics, and safety are our guiding light.
